What is a Special Event?

The City of Pocahontas defines a special event as " a one-time, periodic, or infrequent gathering that falls outside a host's normal daily routine or business operations. It is designed for social, cultural, entertainment, or promotional purposes, and often requires special planning, permits, or use of public space.

How to apply to have a Special Event?

Approved by Parks & Rec. Director & staff of facility it will be held at
you will receive a yes/ no from city staff once review is complete
