City of Pocahontas Parks & Recreation is working hard to renew, revitalize, and renovate our parks & rec. These are some of the new projects they have in the works.

PARK BETWEEN THE PARKS

POCAHONTAS PARKS & RECREATION IS WORKING TOWARDS BUILDING A NEW PUBLIC PARK SPACE FOR THE COMMUNITY. THIS IS LOCATED BETWEEN OVERLOOK PARK AND RIVERFRONT PARK.

THEY HAVE CREATED A ROAD CONNETING RIVERFRONT PARK TO THE NEW PARK. DIRT WORK HAS CONTINUED TO LEVEL AND PLAN OUT THE SPACE. PLANS ON THE SPACE LAYOUT IS ALSO BEING DISCUSSED

BALTZ LAKE
RESTORATION

Baltz Lake is now open to the public.
Baltz Lake has two docks to fish from and one boat access.
Picnic tables around the lake under shade trees.

Disc Golf Trail

City of Pocahontas Parks & Rec. applied and received a grant to transform a city owned land plot on E Mason St. into a Disc Golf Course this will lead into Thomas O. Marr Park. This will bring in a new activity for the community. Clearing and mapping out the land has started
